Mapxus is delighted to share our collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI)*1. Our joint aim is to enrich the shopping and dining experiences for users of the "Mitsui Shopping Park App" by integrating our indoor information service, iPNT-K™. The App, launched by Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd*2 on April 6th, is set to improve customer experiences across approximately 60 commercial outlets nationwide, including the "Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport" and "Mitsui Outlet Park".
Navigating large indoor spaces, particularly sizable commercial facilities, has traditionally been a significant challenge due to a lack of accessible GPS signals. Our partnership with KHI disrupts this narrative by making iPNT-K™ accessible to millions. Through this technology, we're breaking away from the traditional constraints of expensive positioning infrastructure, leveraging Wi-Fi signals available on-site to render detailed and interactive location services at a lower cost.
The App marks the first integration of iPNT-K™. Unlike conventional mapping services, iPNT-K™ revolutionizes the creation and display of digital maps, empowering users to interact with them intuitively and receive real-time updates of their indoor location. By integrating this service into the App, we’re aiming to help customers quickly and easily understand their location within the facility, thereby enhancing their shopping experience.
