We at Mapxus were excited to collaborate with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.*1 to make the KOBE 2024 World Para Athletics Championships more accessible with our service, mapxus Driven by Kawasaki™*2. On Friday, May 24th, we hosted a "Barrier-Free Navigation Experience" event, showcasing our innovative navigation solutions designed to empower those with visual impairments.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to experience the application:
CityGeni: The user-friendly app from mapxus Driven by Kawasaki™ provides crystal-clear voice-guided indoor navigation, allowing users to navigate complex spaces confidently.
Participants were able to test CityGeni inside the Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium. The feedback we received was truly positive, with many praising and expecting the potential of these technologies to revolutionize accessibility for the visually impaired community. One participant remarked on their experience with CityGeni, stating: "The voice guidance was clear and easy to follow, even in crowded areas. With CityGeni, visually impaired individuals can now independently navigate urban environments using their smartphones – a groundbreaking initiative."
At Mapxus, we are thrilled with the success of the KOBE 2024 Barrier-Free Navigation Experience, and we plan to expand the availability of our CityGeni indoor navigation technology to commercial facilities soon. Let’s shape a more inclusive world together!
