Mapxus Academy is excited to announce the launch of the new STEM program, supported by Government Enterprise Support Scheme (Innovation and Technology Fund), focused on using indoor mapping technologies to ignite students' creativity and bring STEM concepts to life.
The program, available at www.stem.mapxus.com, utilizes indoor mapping, 360 street view, indoor positioning, SDK tools, IoT devices and robotics in a simple, step-by-step manner requiring no prior technical background. Students of all disciplines - from primary level to university - can develop new skills needed for a wide range of applications benefiting daily life, including barrier-free accessibility, smart mobility, and smart campuses. Through interactive indoor mapping projects, students develop creativity, problem-solving skills and a love of STEM subjects.
"Our mission at Mapxus Academy is to nurture young learners' natural curiosity and inspire the next generation of innovators," said John Chan, CEO of Mapxus. "We believe that indoor mapping technologies, when put in the hands of students, have the power to ignite their imagination and foster true STEM engagement."
The Mapxus Academy STEM program aims to expose more students to the joy of discovery that indoor mapping tools can provide. With imaginative uses of indoor positioning, 360 indoor street view, and sensor data from IoT devices, young minds are empowered to see everyday spaces in inventive new ways. "We hope to expose students to new technology and future career opportunities in fields like indoor mapping, positioning and navigation" added John Chan "This program represents a paradigm shift to make indoor mapping skills accessible to all."
